dreambox, how does it work?

hi, i'm new here and hope you all can help.

i've had a quick look around and there seem to be lots of helpful people here.

i currently have a motorised dish with technomate tm5200 super STB, i'm looking to upgrade my STB so i could view more channels, but I have no idea where to start.

should I get a newer technomate box or i've heard many good things about dreambox.
but how does it work, are there any beginners guides for this?
are there any fees to pay after the box has been patched?
is an internet connection required?

so many questions, hope someone can help.

Hi It all depends what you want to watch ,yes the dreambox has an ethernet connection and yes it has to be connected to the internet you will also need to know about computers this will help you out about the dreambox there is plenty of guides on the web if you search on google
