As a result of an agreement with Italian company Mediaset, BBC Worldwide Channels launch in Western Europe BBC version with dubbing. The channel will be added to offer DTT Mediaset Premium Gallery on 1 March 2011, approximately 100 hours of recordings will be made available through VOD services. In addition to Discovery World, which competes in the platform offers the same time, BBC, Mediaset will help in extending the offer, which already includes movies, series, programs for children and football.
The BBC is present on the Italian market for the past six years with the BBC World News, but last year left the BBC Entertainment Sky Italia platform.
