dream up!?!

sorry i'm new to this sort of thing and i was wondering, everytime i try to run dream up it comes back with a message "ERROR, can't find any COM ports-aborting", any ideas would be appreciated.

worked it out my pc don't like the null modem cable........great!!!!!!!!!!!
