DM800HD help please

I have just got my hands on a DM800HD. I knew it was pre loaded with the Blackhole and Enigma 2 image. When i turn it on the boot sequence starts on the front of the box and also on screen. after a while the front panel lights go out but the display is still on the screen. the only other thing i have noticed is that the lights on the Ethernet connection stay on constantly shortly after the boot sequence starts
Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you connect to it via Dreamup using a null modem cable? This usually recovers corrupt images.

My DM500 was stuck in a boot loop the other day and I had to use the null modem cable to recover it.
