this is the text released from the original guys about all the new patched gbox versions that are surfacing at the moment.
read it and choose for yourselves which version you use.ian.
Some weeks ago, Rastaman and me was modifyng gbox 2.25d because we wanted use our rom180 directly in gbox. We hadn't
rom180, then we sent the modified version to some friends to test. These versions was beta and they was wrong (didn't work with rom180,
but yes with rom142).
This version went to one potuguese team and they release it changing only one string and saying the version was yours....
you can see the image with the diferences:
-gbox-beta5(OUR ORIGINAL) vs gboxR142(COPY)
Few days ago Rastaman and me fixed the old patch and released one modified version (we called it 2.2F). Now works with rom180, and rom142
Yesterday someone released one "gbox300", but it is only a bad copy of the other copy, You can see the image
-gboxR142(COPY) vs gbox300(COPY)
Today someone released "gbox301", it is the same gbox300 but compressed with upx (bad compressed because it gives illegal instruction).
The diferences between 3.00 and 3.01(descompressed)
-gbox300(COPY) vs gbox301(COPY)
And finally someone have released gbox2.1C, Other copy of our version... After decompress it and compare with our version, only some strings
are changed. So its the same xDD. As usual, the image with the diferences jeje
-gbox22F(OUR ORIGINAL) vs gbox21C(COPY)
There is someone copying our versions, and he doesn't nothing new. If you are bored you can search a girlfriend, but not copy jobs made by others
Resuming
gboxR142: a copy of our old version (wrong, it only works with rom142)
gbox300: a copy of our old version (wrong, it only works with rom142)
gbox301: a copy of our old version (wrong, it only works with rom142) and bad compressed with upx
gbox21C: a copy of our new version compressed
the only original and well modified gbox is the called 2.2F. And as is said in the readme, it has three modifications
-It can read directly "nagra3" cards (rom142, rom180) and share them as 18010000 (but no receive emms, at least in rom180)
-The limit of the X parameter is increased to 0x14 (20)
-The limit of the total cards is increased to 2048
